Basic Life Support Training 2010

Basic Life Support (BLS) is a level of medical care which is used for patients with life-threatening illness or injury until the patient can be given full medical care. It can be provided by trained medical personnel, including Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), and by laypersons who have received BLS training. BLS is generally used in the pre-hospital setting, and can be provided without medical equipment.

Training course covering the topics on
a. FBAO(Foreign Body Airway Obstruction)
b. Rescue Breathing ,and
c. Cardio-Pulmonary-Cerebral Resuscitation.

16 Hours Course. Certificates will be given upon completion.

"Learn to do something when somebody is choking, stops breathing or his/her heart stops beating."

This years training will be held on March 6 and 7, 2010 at the Hospital of The Infant Jesus Auditorium, located at Lacson Cor. Laong Laan St. Samplaoc Manila from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Training Fee is 500 pesos.

Handled by highly qualified instructors, the 16 hours is divided into 8 hours of lecture and demo, and 8-hours of examinations and return demos by the participants. The said training is also a pre-requisite for the First Responder Training Program.

Basic Life Support – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS-CPR) Training. A two (2) consecutive training days which will be facilitated by the instructors from Fire Emergency Paramedic Assistance Group (FEPAG).

The training is based on the 2005 Guidelines of International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and American Heart Association (AHA).

When: March 28 (Sunday) and 29 (Monday), 2010
Where: Manila Doctors College - 2nd Floor Multipurpose Hall
Time: 8:00am to 5:00pm.


The training aims to equip the participants with knowledge and skills on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) which can be used as an emergency medical procedure to victims of cardiac arrest and pulmonary arrest.

In view therefore we are charging a training fee of P400.00 per participant representing cost of materials and certificates.

Furthermore, all participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance. A Certificate of Completion will also be given for those individuals that will pass the training requirements.

The BLS-CPR Training is a preparation for the upcoming First Responder Training Program (FRTP) which covers Advance knowledge and skills about Patient Assessment, Airway management, Bleeding control, Child birth, Mass Casualty Incident, Immobilization, Patient lifting and transport, Legal - Ethical issues, Anatomy and physiology, use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED), use of EMS equipments and many more.
